Marco Capucilli
Owner & Head Chef
Second-generation pizza maker and guardian of the original Capucilli family recipes. Marco has been kneading dough and simmering sauce since he was 12 years old.
Our Heritage
Green Lantern Pizza was born in 1967 when founder Frank Capucilli opened a small storefront on 15 Mile Road in Clinton Township, Michigan. Armed with a family recipe from the old country, a wood-fired oven, and an unshakeable belief that great pizza starts with great ingredients, Frank created something truly special.
Word spread fast. Neighbors became regulars. Regulars became family. What started as a modest neighborhood pizzeria blossomed into a beloved institution that has fed generations of Clinton Township residents — celebrating birthdays, post-game victories, first dates, and everything in between.
Today, the Capucilli family continues to carry on Frank's legacy. The same hand-tossed dough, the same slow-simmered sauce, the same commitment to quality. We've grown, yes — but we've never lost the soul of that original storefront. Every pizza we make is a tribute to the man who started it all.
What Drives Us
Everything we do at Green Lantern Pizza is rooted in four core commitments that Frank Capucilli set out from day one.
We source locally grown produce and use only premium meats and cheeses. No shortcuts, no compromises — ever.
Each pizza is hand-crafted, hand-tossed, and made to order. We put passion into every single slice.
Clinton Township is our home. We sponsor local sports teams, schools, and events because community is everything.
We preserve the original recipes passed down through three generations — because some things should never change.
What We Stand For
We never cut corners on our original recipes. Authentic taste is the promise we make — and keep — every single day.
Whether you're a first-timer or a family that's been coming for decades, you deserve a warm welcome and an exceptional meal.
We partner with local farms and minimize waste. Taking care of our community means taking care of the environment too.
We love our traditions, but we're always looking to improve — in our recipes, our service, and our guest experience.

Guest Voices
Green Lantern is a Clinton Township institution. My grandparents brought my parents here, my parents brought me, and now I bring my kids. It never changes — and that's exactly the point.
The team here is like family. Marco knows my order by heart and always has a story to tell. The pizza is incredible, but it's the people that keep me coming back every week.
I've tried pizza across the country. Nothing — and I mean nothing — comes close to Green Lantern's Detroit-style. The story behind this place makes every bite taste even better.
